HEY. so i'm in africa and thought it was proper to post something.

Ghana is amazing. I love this place, i love the people, i love the wacky food. i have a million stories and nothing to say it seems.

There are these trees that look like elephants,

and crows that look like they're wearing sweater-vests,

and some of the most mature children,

and beautiful babies,

and i've gotten dozens of marriage proposals.


Rastafarians love me,

everyone remembers my name (and very pale face,)

my tan is slowly emerging,

the beach is a place dreams are made of.


My roommate is Ghanaian, and her boyfriend is a preacher,

my suitemates are Nigerian,

my new best friend is from Oxford,

and i may have a bit of a crush on him.



this place is taking over my life and i adore it. I may never come home; i suggest you all visit. Everyone is welcome.


p.s.
everything is so cheap. beers twice the size of those in the rest of the world are under a dollar, meals are under a dollar, a gigantic joint the size of a man's thumb is about twenty-five cents. it's out of control.
