New Year's turned out remarkably good. A lot more of my close friends were around than I was previously aware were gonna be in the house, and I had a hell of a good time. Ate some good food, had plenty of good booze, danced around a bunch, passed out in a room full of balloons...

There was a touch of unfortunate drama as the result of a semi-unwelcome ex (not mine) showing up and wreaking a wee bit of havoc. Still have to follow up on that and make sure everything is okay with everyone. One of my bestest friends got hurt by the whole thing and I think she's still a little sad and angry. I need to give her a ring.

The seasonal defective mayhem seems to be continuing right along. I dunno why it has particularly kicked in this last week or two, but it certainly seems to have. I can barely make up my mind as to what I'm going to eat, my mind is such a piece of shit right now.

But I may be substantially closer to finding a home, which could turn out to be quite a relief. Yeesh, my friend's cat is trying to claw its way up my chest to rub its fish-smelly mug on my face. Cute and nice, but those claws digging into my collar bone sort of ruin the effect. Hell of a nice cat though...
