Went to Dante's the other night in an attempt to recover Ruby and my garbled and hapless attempt to rendezvous. It was live comedy night, and I love good live comedy, but it has to be GOOD! I've seen worse in my time, but there was almost no one there at all, and I felt a bit embarrassed for the people up there trying to be funny and make the three or four of us there laugh. There was some funny stuff though.

Yesterday went outstandingly smooth on the shoot. We were out at Dammasch, an abandoned mental hospital outside Wilsonville. Neat place, but didn't hold a candle to the creepy decay and splendour of the huge old asylum we shot at up in Washington. I would so love to spend a weekend camping up in that place. I can't imagine what kind of horrifying things one might experience. *shiver* Ugh.

Last night played some pool at Ringler's, shot a few decent games of 9-ball, then leaned on the bar at the Matador. Put away several pints of Pabst and partook (is that even a word?) of the largest plate of nachos I have ever seen. Yum.

Oh yeah, and met with a guy about working on another flick in PDX in October. Sounds like it could be an interesting gig. I'm awfully curious to read the script. The guy was a real character. Well, I'm off to Washington! Have a good Thursday and Friday!
