Well most everyone liked my new hairdo which is rad. Check out last journal if you missed it.
Right now my husband is installing a medicine cabinet. I love it when he gets all manly on me. *rawr!*
A bit of weirdness:
I got a $200 stroller and carseat combo in the mail from my stepmother and father Friday. Talk about a shocker considering I have not spoken to my dad since I got engaged to my husband about 10 years ago. I only recently reconnected with my two stepsisters so I'm assuming they told my stepmother, who is a very nice lady, and she had it sent. I appreciate the gift. It's really rather lovely. I was just quite shocked. This doesn't mean I'm giving dear old dad a call though. Not that he'd want one anyways.
Random Rant:
I've had the same friends for years. There's five of us. We get along fantastically. I occasionally try to make new friends and bring them into the group. It always starts off with me being very enamored and then eventually dissapointed as plans are backed out on, calls are not returned and I'm generally left feeling like they don't care. Maybe my standards of friendship are too high but I don't think so. I think I deserve friends who I don't have to take all the initative with.
Pregnancy Update:
6 weeks to go people. 6 freaking weeks.
Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds and is probably almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers which she'll need to regulate her body temperature once she's born are filling her out, making her rounder. Her central nervous system is still maturing and her lungs are well developed by now. If you've been nervous about going into preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that 99 percent of babies this age can survive outside the womb and most have no major long-term problems related to prematurity.

I've been buying bras from VS exclusively for 10 years now. It's really because they're the only place I can find my size in styles that still look pretty- especially when I was a DD. If I tried to go to the department store, all they'd have were these monstrocities resebling restraining devices, in the lovely color selection of "shiny white" or "dull nude", with two inch padded straps and such. No thanks.
