My old girl doesn’t have much time left on this planet. I’ve been very nostalgic lately watching and caring for her in her waning days. There aren’t many creatures (human or otherwise) that I’ve connected with the way I have with Maja. The way that we have learned to communicate with each other and the way in which we have coexisted as two different species is truly remarkable. In the time she has left, it’s nothing but treats and belly rubs and whatever the hell else she wants. She is a very good girl.
