I've been hanging out and reading here, replying in groups sporadically, but I had no idea it had been so long since I last posted an actual blog.
This time next week I'll be pointing myself toward New Orleans for my next Adventure in Moving. Finally! I've been trying to get everything all nice and neatly organized for it, but that just wasn't in the cards, so I finally threw my hands up and said, "Fuck it! I'm going!"
I've been having lots of fun with the obligatory partying-one-last-time-before-you-move-away get togethers. A little saddened/disappointed that not even that excuse can pull some folks out of the woodwork, but then, those are the folks who haven't really "been" there for a while. Yaknow?
The theme for this year in general seems to have been either reconnecting and strengthening old relationships, or cutting free ballast.
