Just got off work. I had high hopes of getting drunk this evening. However, my parents decided to come visit for the week so I think I'll have to end up entertaining them instead. Not that I'm not happy to see my parents... I've just had a long week and wanted to kick back. I'm sure I'll make up for it later though.

Sorry about the unexpected visit--there is nothing like kicking back and consuming mass quantities of alcohol after a long week . . . Hope you are having a good time with them though.
Sounds like you had a good time in Monterey! Love it down there. I was just in Santa Barbara this week and I cannot believe how rediculously expensive it has gotten to live there--the average home price is over $1M (and that doesn't buy much--YIKES!) and that affects rent and everything on the economic food chain--not sure how mere mortals can live there anymore.
Well anyway, it is still beautiful and I stay with friends when I go so I get to enjoy all the benefits of SB, which is way cool.
