Happy Fourth of July to you all.

I'm sitting right now, sampling some of the Gentleman Jack my friends got me for graduating. Stuff is smooth. In case anyone isn't big on taste, if everything tastes the same to you, do this: tastes some Gentleman Jack with ice. Doesn't matter how much. Just have some. Now get a shot glass with one ice cube, fill it with The Macallan twelve years old scotch. Have some of that. Huge difference. Both are good, but The Macallan has spice and burn.

Sitting down right now, flipping back and forth between Christopher Titus: Neverlution and True Blood 402. Titus is probably hands down my favorite comic. His show on Fox is the one thing that always never failed to make me laugh.

Had my graduation party yesterday. My sister and I celebrated our respective graduations at the cabin where we went to the party the day I graduated. I had one friend come early and got lost. I had two friends come late and never make it to the cabin. In fact, they ended up in Pennsylvania because they never turned off the highway. When they called me and told me where they were, it never entered my mind that they came from New Jersey. I thought they were coming from PA, not going to it. We were cleaning up, and we almost waited for them, but we just decided to send them to my house. We hung out for an hour.

But two things I learned:
1. You can never have enough tables and chairs. Tents are pretty much the same thing but shade and a place to sit and eat are easily the most important things about a summer picnic. Food and beverage need be good but shade is a wonderful thing.

2. Balloons are the best navigational landmarks. It is easier to follow a trail of balloons than GPS. I have some of the worst navigators in my family and my one friend couldn't find the corner fifth and 25th in New York City if he was on the corner of fifth and 24th. So balloons are noticeable and cheaper than billboards.

It was nice. When you're the host, you kind of have to drop what you're doing and make sure you say hello to everyone. But it never felt like a hassle. It was nice to hang with my college buddies and my high school buddies and have grown up conversations like jobs, economy shit, getting pulled over, and drinking.

But the food was awesome. My mom has been preparing for months. We had a free turkey from shoprite since last Halloween, tons of corn beef (bbq corn beef is awesome), and a ham. Not to mention ziti, bake beans, tons of salads. We also brought over an old bottle of Southern Comfort. Quick question? When is SoCo yellow? At what age does a brown liquid alcohol composition turn yellow? I tried it and I could have sworn I drank pure alcohol. I've never had Everclear but I think I can guess.

Oh, almost done with Duke Nukem Forever. Let's face it, the game is not a good game. Sure, it takes the graphics a few seconds to render as you get closer. The textures don't seem right. The models are old school. The load times are unbearable. The pacing is all over the place. And AI is a basic shooting gallery.

But god damn is this game enjoyable.
