well, this week was a wash.
Two things stick out that I won't go into but let's just say it wasn't wanted.
I am putting the finishing touches on a proposal for a film drive to my college. The new program is like two years old. As I graduate, the program could not properly offer several courses. But I'm not too annoyed. But I'm trying to get a donation drive going for the library so that the college can offer support to classes. The way I see it, I'm not getting anything out of this other than maybe a good deed, and future students won't know who I am.
I think I got a job. I talked to a woman who told me that there was one waiting for me. So until I start, I think I got a job when I graduate. I'll be doing reporter work for a local broadcaster. Just sitting in on town meetings and taking notes and writing the stories. I told my family and one of my friends and it basically went like this.
"I got a job."
"Oh, good, doing what?"
"Reporting"
"What are your hours?"
"Evenings, three nights a week."
"Oh. Are you keeping your dishwashing job?"
"Maybe."
"Are you looking for something better?"
What the fuck? I found a job when everyone is losing theirs and I get crap for not being the fucking vp right out of the gate? Swear to god nobody knows how to work anymore.
Going to Gamestop tonight for Mortal Kombat. Kollectors edition. Expect a video of that unveiling.
My aunt wants to get me a suit for graduation. Any advice? What's professional these days?
