I'm tired, and not because I was ridin' an' ropin' cattle out on a dusty plain.

I spent what was probably our last warm, beautiful fall weekend with my team riding bikes... hard.

One last thing of note, besides my incredibly chapped ass, is that I came away from this weekend with a renewed hope for the election.

My team is out in West Michigan (Kalamazoo to be precise), haven (and brithplace) of the Republican Party (and the KKK, go figure). I rode my bike on 350 miles of West Michigan, "Bush Country" roads and saw more Kerry/Edwards signs than I could throw a thumbs up at.

If they can get West Michigan, they can get anywhere.

Then, on the way home, I saw the new Bush/Cheney billboards - giant American Flags with simple slogans on them...

Just before I vomited I read, "One Nation, under God." ... the "under" was underlined.

"uh, no, I uh, swear I'm sticking to the separation of church and state... uh, no really"

Now he's just insulting our intelligence by being so obvious.
