Hopefully the reason you stop by my journal is to have a chuckle or check out my sweet ass in Lycra. I have to get a bit serious today though, which is fine because life ain't all cookies and cum-drops.

Last night I went to my sister's brithday; not the sister getting married, but the autistic one.

She turned 26 yesterday and as autistics go she's fairly high functioning (Ausberger's for those in the know). Until she was 21, my parents never gave her any of the numerous drugs used to control autistic behavior; they felt it was her decision to make.

Six years ago when I went away to college in Texas was when she began taking treatments for the first time... when I came home for the summer she was a completely different person, or the same person, just really stoned. As she stood there and played with a paperclip for 2 hours, I asked my dad...

"dude, do you want me just to go downtown and buy her some pot? It would probably be cheaper than whatever she's on."

After that, they changed the drug, and the doseage and things were more or less back to normal since. The last 5 years she's been slightly less weird than normal, but relatively un-stoned. It seems that the weaker drugs aren't quite as effective.

So yesterday I show up and my sister is completely and totally stoned again. Turns out the wierd had been on the rise and they changed her script again.

Seems that in the world of psychotropic drugs, "effective" means "stoned."

Here's my beef, and I've gone from one side of this argument to the other and back so many times... My sister is autistic; she acts fucking weird, really weird. The drugs make her stop acting so weird and turn her into this staring machine.

The way I see it, acting like a looney is who she is; she's definitely not the coked-up veggie I saw last night.

So what do you think? Psychotropic drugs... helping or changing who you are?

24 years with an autistic sister... I say, fuck drugs.

"Right Clicking" is for hip and with it mutha fuckas that need the sexy grasping power of multiple buttons. Are you aware that I have around FIVE clickable buttons on my mouse? Does that frighten you? Because it should.

Seriousl though, how smooth is that Rodriguez motherfucker?! Just think, we've been wearing our jackets with our arms THROUGH the sleeves for years! Like total and complete fucking amateurs. Well NEVER again, friend. Never again...
