The date on Thursday had an adventurous beginning. It was her birthday, and she looked incredible. I couldn't take my eyes off of her, and that's a great thing. The only problem was that we have been having very hard rains here in Atlanta for the last two weeks. It rained like a son of a bit@%! that night, and we could barely see on the highway. At one point, a car passed us and slashed our windshield and we were totally blinded for 5 seconds or so. I cursed loudly and passionately...not a great thing for one of our initial dates, right? But, she was right there with me. So, we had a bonding moment come out of those scary moments.
Dinner was amazing...we had the restaurant mostly to ouselves (in fact, the dining room was all our own), My brother and some friends met us for drinks beforehand in the bar at the restaurant. We told some stories, and she got some insight into my life and personality that she might not have otherwise. And lots of laughter all around. The chef came out to introduce himself, and let us know that he'd be cooking with us in mind ths evening...a very nice touch. The food was a s good as it was billed to be. And the whole time was quite romantic. We laughed and talked and teased and flirted with each other all night....
Two days later, she called to invite me out! And she said that she was still on a high from our wonderful date two days earlier. Music to my ears....I am starting to miss her and think about her a lot.....wish me luck.
My thanks to Home Restaurant, 111 W. Paces Ferry Rd., here in Atlanta for a wonderful evening!!
