Finally, the rain has stopped!
Friday night we went to a party which made me feel old and boring because there were all these new little goth kids that made me "remember what it was like to be their age".. that was kinda freaky. We had a couple of beers and then went home early.
Saturday day we didn't do much except play Diablo II, to which I am hopelessly addicted, and I can't remember if we did anything on Saturday night or not. No wait, we were going to go and see improv but it was still pissing down so we decided to stay home and go on Sunday instead, which we did and it was SO FUNNY!
Then on Monday it was B's birthday and I surprised him with tickets to see JAMES BROWN (!!!!!!!1one etc) in Auckland at the end of March, complete with plane tickets and hotel bookings, so yay. I went halvsies with his parents on the tickets, so we all went out to dinner together and drank too much.
Work was crap yesterday but I was so excited about James Brown that I just bounced about, mostly. Tickets only went on sale at 9am yesterday, so I called at 9:01 and they laughed at me, but COME ON, it's JAMES BROWN, I think it will sell out pretty quick if it hasn't already.
Other highlight of the weekend was spiral ear plug thingos finally arriving in the mail, woot! They rule but I need to stretch my left ear another 2mm or so before it will fit. The right fits fine, but symmetry, you know how it is. I will post photos when I'm even.
Oh, by the way did I mention I'm going to JAMES BROWN? haha, I'm so excited. I'm much more excited than I was for Bowie. Is that wrong? I guess I only got Bowie tickets the day before whereas for James Brown I've got over a month to wait. I'm coming to the land of Auck! All you Aucklanders, I will be there for 2 full days so lots of time to play.
