FUCKING PARENTS!
My parents invited themselves over to dinner at my house tonight as they are going standby on the ferry at 10pm, and then announced that they no longer eat carbs, so I went out last night and bought a huge amount of fish to cook, even though I had given it up, and also, went to the coffee place and bought some fancy coffee to give them as a present to take back to use on their espresso machine, and I just got a text message from them (2 hours before they're due) saying they're on an earlier ferry and not to bother with dinner!
