I'm dancing on Saturday at a rave. I've been dancing at raves for a long time and it always a gongshow. Promoters are a sketchy bunch and dealing with them on a professional level always requires a great deal of patience and getting in their faces. I made sure I got the proper tech rehearsal in. I don't know if it's going to be long enough or not but I'm going to prep everything ahead so set up will take the least amount of time possible. Let the craziness begin. I'm hoping to tape my whole work while I'm in there. *crosses fingers**
Went out to dance and the mixed hardcore techno and psytrance. I just about had an orgasm on the dance floor. So many good tracks and I danced SO HARD. I was soaked when I left. I'm so crazy about dancing. It reminded me of the "old days" when people danced really hard and didn't care. That was me! I'm looking forward to this party which is a little crazy because I haven't been going for awhile and haven't really looked forward to any of them.
When I got home the first thing I did was shower (go figure) and then I sat up on the dood's bed and rubbed his head. I used to do that when he was really little after I would go out. It just reconnects you, ya know.
I think this is my time to really reconnect with good things. I never disconnected with them but I think if you don't work at it, things fade. If that makes sense..... I'm watering the roots of the tree not tossing sand to the wind to see which way it goes.

Today is sunny. The dood and I are definitely going to the beach. WAHHOO!

Got to the beach. The dood and I are brown and warm. We took along my good friend A__ and talked, talked, talked. The water in the lake was ice cold, enough to cause pain. I'm not a water person where as the dood is. In he went diving and splashing. He thinks I'm the worst wimp. Well, I am. I'm just not a water person I guess but I still love to go to the beach and squish sand between my toes. I also love that I can take the dood and he has such a great time.
Woman from the dance festival phoned before we took off and we had such a great conversation and even though I have never met her, we joked around and I hope I get to meet her. Very cool person. It makes me wonder......I usually detest the phone but here I am chatting away ...maybe it's not the phone but people's phone ettiquette....having to constantly deal with people who are unfriendly or difficult to speak to on the phone.....interesting. I always thought it was just the physical act of talking on the phone that I hated.......
