hello! happy new year!

Happy New Year. I went to a friends house downtown and watched the fireworks over the port of Anchorage from the bluff while drinking warm eggnog and eating homemade banana bread. Then back to Ron's house to chat and sip some blueberry liquer from Italy or Norway. But then I spent midnight home alone thinking where I could have been. It would have been nice to share an eggnog with Sophi (no rum for her of course).

Before I got married, I always wanted to do that. Now that I'm married I went from living in Jax, FL for 20 years, to NC, and then to Germany. So I guess I have done that in a way. I would like to just up and move for no reason one day. Just say "You know what I don't like it here anymore" and just leave. Simple as that. My last thought on intimidation... if you are happy in yourself, just be yourself. People choose to be intimidated, and just have to find their own courage to move beyond their fears to reach friendship. That's what motivated me to send ya a friendship invite...

I know that's not what you're asking but when it comes right down to the choice, that is what it is. I happened to read something last night (yeah read go figure lol).......let me see if I can find it....... I can't find it but it said something along these lines..... The universe provides us with the tasks we must undertake. Our job here on earth is to use our talents and abilities to their fullest. Others may find our uses and abilities intimidating but you must strike forward anyway. Allow them to see your abilities not as intimidations but lessons or pathways to a better state of mind.

Well...I truly am a trooper. I took my kiddo, his friend and his friend's little sister to the toboggan hills. We played hard for almost 3 hrs. I swear everything is bruised....is my ass still there???
We slid, bailed, smashed, pealed out and took air.....totally fun and I'm absolutely exhausted.
