My brother and I had a spectacular time touring a lot of Western Honshu. Japan is one of those countries with so much refined history and craft and natural beauty, you could spend a lifetime exploring it and never see it all. This trip of course only wet my appetite for more. That always happens with travel. You get in your groove at home and the decision to go travel is kind of painful. But once you're out you wish you could stay out forever.
It's summer 'vacation' here. All the students are gone, but all the teachers have to work. I'm not complaining too much (though I could be in Hokkaido with my brother right now if I was free). I keep myself busy all day studying Japanese, doing a little bit of actual schoolwork and preparation for the next semester, and reading Harry Potter. I'm reading through the whole series again in preparation for the 7th book. I read the first 3 in 3 days. But 4 and 5 have slowed me down a lot, and I have a lot more distractions than I did over the weekend.
I've spent the last couple nights scrubbing my tub. Satisfying.
No computer yet.
Oh well. Keeps the value higher for when I sell it to get my Mac.

I spend my nights scrubbing the oven, don't you want to trade? the tub really needs some work and I can leave your oven looking like new!
