I was traveling and too tired to post this yesterday. And it's Thursday here but my blog is on Japan time which is why it says Friday.
My application for a single malt whiskey club got rejected. I'll carry the torch here!
Aberlour 10yo (43%, OB, +/- 2007)

Appearance/Color
Deep Copper 1.0 (Whisky Mag Color Bar)
Aroma
Intensity: Tingle
Immediate sherry on opening. Old wood, like walking into a barn. Almond(?) and old straw on warming and breathing. Floral opens up in dilute.
Palate
Medium body. Immediate wine sweetness.
Finish
Long. Sweetness stays and slowly fades as Madeira and nutmeg/cinnamon spice develops. A spectrum of sherry with progressive diluting.
Comment
I think this is what some call a "sherry monster." Sherry slaps you around from front to finish.
hat feisty redhead you had a crush on in high school. She liked to think she was deep, but was really just boldly opinionated and sassy about it. But that's why you liked her.

dude! My cousin is trying to get into the JET program! I really hope she does, I wouldn't mind visiting her there.
Thanks. I'm a former nursing student, so I know the rules of a professional relationship. That's cool that your mom volunteers, there is such a need for compassionate health care professionals - as was demonstrated with me.
My hope is that this doesn't make this lady more bitter but rather changes her attitude, but I'm scared to hope.
