It's 3:30AM. My flight leaves in ~3 hours. I don't feel like packing right now. I have a headache. Ahh, boobies.

Handicap, Alzheimer's, & Death
Hopefully I'll have my computer back tomorrow, but I can't do much until I receive it. I got this computer in 1999 and it served me well for a long time. But it doesn't have a lot of software I need, is grumpy about USB peripherals, and chugs along at 450MHz. I'll post pics of my travels and whisky reviews as...

hah yeah. Frats are a waste of time.

I'm with you on the deaths. I've never had anyone real close to me die, so I don't know what it's like either.

Good Times
The days are just packed. I'm spending all my time with friends and making the most of my 2 weeks in the US. My sister, cute nieces, and brother will be here this weekend. We'll be going to see relatives. It's full and fun, but I'm hemorrhaging money. I'll have to be sure to watch my budget for several months when I return...

My [strike]computer[/strike] strike]baby[/strike] teat-of-the-internet-I-suckle-for-sustenance is in the shop. I can't even compose an analogy to encompass how severe such a separation is. It has all my work, all my entertainment, all my social networking, and has been painstakingly customized, tweaked, and organized to flow effortlessly to serve my needs. The future of technology is exciting and frightening. Our investment cannot be reversed....

Honey, I'm Home!
I failed to stay up as late as I should have last night to battle jetlag. But I eventually got back to sleep after waking up at 3:00am this morning.

Being back is of course interesting. I'm not keeping a little journal like I did last time, but I've been paying attention:

The first thing I noticed was the diversity. An explosion...

Oooh you're right, I've already sent it to a few friends! You're making me miss Law and Order with this site, and Fred Savage is on. haha

Also, thank you and yes those are strawberries...you can see how I couldn't resist buying it. It's SOOO cute.

What did you do in Japan? Just a trip, or something more?
miaka:
Oh yes, I made that mistake too smile

Yes yes, jeans or a skirt...I would wear it as is..but it's a little short. haha.

lawrence is DEFINITELY the better choice. ive lived in lincoln for five years, and i was itching to get out. i hated it the whole time.

dude! My cousin is trying to get into the JET program! I really hope she does, I wouldn't mind visiting her there.

Hi. smile

Thanks. I'm a former nursing student, so I know the rules of a professional relationship. That's cool that your mom volunteers, there is such a need for compassionate health care professionals - as was demonstrated with me. tongue Ahh well. The letter is being composed and shall be delivered, and my mother works with all of these people so I think the matter will resolve itself nicely.

My hope is that this doesn't make this lady more bitter but rather changes her attitude, but I'm scared to hope.

The trip home was uneventful. I wish I could fly direct to Wichita though. It is an "international" airport after all. Nagoya > San Francisco > Denver > Wichita.

Traveling is always strange for me. I don't know if it's the atmosphere, the solitude, the time zone shift, or what, but it's always a unique sensation. I feel tranquil and reflective, but energized. My senses...

I'm off for the ol' USofA tomorrow. I'll resize those pics and update with other stuff later. If anyone is actually reading this, feel free to comment/email. I'll still have pretty reliable internet access for the next two weeks.

Dentaru
Way back in November I had a chipped molar. The old [url]amalgam filling allowed bacteria to enter a crack which then rotted and caused a piece to separate off, but was still strong enough to keep the piece in place. It wasn't painful or anything, but I needed to get it fixed. So I asked around and found a dentist nearby.

I've been going...
