Since after christmas I feel my overall performance has lacked which has knocked my confidence a fair bit. But the monday just gone my performance really lacked I narrowed it down to due to an very familiar face turning up one who I've had a bad history with as soon as I saw him I just wanted to kick his arse again like I did back in high school but even better with the skills I've picked up from doing MMA if there is one thing I am good at its holding on to hatred and animosity. On that evening my performance really sucked as they say this fight game is over 90% mental an mind set and my mind was just elsewhere. From what I can gather he hasn't done any of this kind of stuff and doesn't know how to fight and has just started out.

He turned up again in last nights session but I decided not to focus on him being there again and holy shit what an improvement from mondays session I kicked fucking arse after the end of the session he finally approached me (not one word from on monday) and was asking where I lived and asking if me an my dad could give him a lift on our way home from the club first thought that crossed my mind was "you cheeky fucker" but we weren't heading home the same route as where he lived so we told him we can't. On the way home I got talking with my dad and reminding him the history we had back in high school and overall I came to the conculsion that maybe just maybe he's actually changed a lot since school and personally I don't wanna be holding this animosity I had towards him if we're gonna be training together then its not gonna do anyone any favours and if we were paired up together it just wouldn't work at all so with this I looked on it an thought you know what I'll give him a chance and put all that animosity behind me build a bridge an start brand new because its better not just for everyone else but for myself to stay on top of my game. This quite a revelation for me a real big one I've managed to do it with previous people who I've had some bad blood with so why not him he hadn't done anything else to me after I kicked his arse in school. So a new beginning of giving him a chance an see if he's changed his ways since then :).
