The first place I lived by myself had a menagerie of animals that came to eat the dry cat food I left out for strays.  One night there was a fox, a cat, and an opossum; it was like something straight out of The Wind in the Willows and I was living in the burbs.  I've yet to see a badger here even though when we stay at out favourite B&B in  Glastonbury the badgers leave the Abbey to eat shawarma in the middle of the night, from the trash of course. :)
