Recently invested in a Jackson Randy Rhodes flying V guitar which I'd been looking for a number of months now I from a friend of mine he'd recently hit some hard time of being able to afford the rent on his place. He was behind around £200 on the payments and was facing eviction with him not having a job getting £200 out of thin air was going to be a task so he had the choice of becoming homeless or he sell his only guitar and amplifier just in order to pay the rent so he choose to sell the guitar and amplifier for £200 he asked me and naturally i said yes as it was a win win he needed the rent money and i was looking for the kind of guitar he had so not only have i gotten my new guitar he can now pay his rent an keep a roof over his head for a little longer.
Now after this I've spent 2 hours playing it an trying to learn some songs Im a shit guitar player I'll be honest and the string he has jesus christ they're ripping my fingers to shreds turns out they are a much higher gauge than what i thought .014-.055 is the gauge so quite thick and because I've not played properly in a very long time my fingers have gone soft they weren't solid like they used to be in this I realised why I hated first learning is the toughening of the fingers part of it so in that retrospect Im starting from scratch this is gonna be a long LOONNGG few weeks/month(s) ether way I know by the end it'll be worth it :)
