The Nightmare:

I was in a lab, working on research with the rest of my colleagues. A corporate-type comes into the lab and wants an update on the progress the lab has made and is speaking directly to me for the information. He is joined by the lab coordinator/supervisor. All of my colleagues gather 'round as I begin to detail the progress.

That's when it...

I went out with Josh, angst, DaWook, and a few of Josh's friends to the Cobalt Lounge last night. Serious gothic/industrial music and dancing. It's been too long since I went dancing, let along at a gothic/industrial night. sigh.

Josh taught me the "Josh Dance." From there we continued to do this very versitile dance. Everyone should learn it, then there would be a whole...

Those were some very cute girlies doing their girly thing. biggrin

I'm glad you appreciate my dance. I made it up last year, spontaneously.
dawook:
I was doing the Wook dance, which I invented a few years back. It's basically leaning up against the bar with a drink in your hand. It spread like wildfire. I have seen many people across the country doing it. I am so proud of myself.

Just sitting here listening and singing to Nora Jones. If I had money I'd try and see if anyone was selling tickets to her sold out August 4 concert. frown

...to not touch your skin is not why I stay...

sigh.

So it was written, so it was done! mad

Count them, there are 19. Nineteen pictures.

1-15 are from the St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Lafayette, Louisiana USA the morning of my friends wedding (4/20/2002). Photographer was introduced to me through the bride.

16 & 17 are the requested pictures of my beloved.

18 was taken at the bride's best friend's apartment by the photographer of...

Why you so good to me, calming me when I get too worked up. I've forgotten my own mantra in this packing mess. This too, shall pass.

There's a Japanese wall scroll I have that says (rough translation): Tolerance: Tolerate a little while, take a step back, breathing space looms larger.

Thanks for chilling me out.

I made my bed indeed. The problem was the haste with which I unmade it, and jumped into it with someone I ought not have.

I am looking forward to my trip.

Thanks again for the well wishes.

Hey. I'm coming to Portland with my girlfriend in a week or two. We want to meet up with as many SGers as possible. We have dreams of fun, drugs, and threesomes. Sound cool? hahaha.

she left late Sunday............

Miss Tallahassee has come and gone. Our time was far too short, but it always is. We both extended our most sincere thanks to my roommate who, without prompting, left the apartment for the weekend. I wish she was still here. Waking up this morning was one of the most difficult things I've had to do.

I'd like to hear from...

Hey, saw that you're a friend of Lexi's, and that you gave her the same advice as I did...something I think she hears a whole hell of a lot from many people. any way, drop me a line sometime, have a good one!
solisis:
good to have you back.

I've been in a couple long distance relationships. They suck. I think I can credit my age for the lack of trust and communication. I think I can credit my lack of concern for the destruction of such a relation. In the end, it's much better to keep it close... or open relationship if distance seems untreatable. I disagree with the open thing, but many friends have said this works. Like lighting the fuse and staying for the light show.
How pleasant that it was a delightful stay. look forward to more... and the picture you'll be posting.

28.5 hours and counting...

Tomorrow at roughly 6:30pm, I will be back were I belong; in the arms of the woman I love. Don't I make you sick?! mad

Thanks to solisis for the kind compliment, I guess I do have a reason to be happy with my appearance. I can't take much credit for it though, it's genetics after all. For that reason, perhaps tonight,...

are you kidding? the blue mop handle totally ties the entire photo together! I deliberately placed it there hoping someone would notice.
do you know of a guy named Jean-Michelle Basquiat? He was a supposed artist back in what I like to call "The Day" and he would write words on his paintings and cross them out. He'd say people pay more attention to things crossed out because they wonder what it was before. not unlike the photo. see, by placing a mop handle in the background I had successfully planted an image to pick at and remember....
Ok, I'm full of shit. that was irrelevant and I should have removed the mop handle.... for shame on me.

Two days and counting...

A new SG friend, solisis, posted his digits yesterday. Being curious as I am I gave him a call. Very cool guy, even if he says he's not a people person. Cannibals are people persons. mad

Then I decided to wax dermatologic. Or more appropriately, I went and got waxed. eeek My aesthetician is VERY good, and I'd recommend her to anyone...

CIO,

For the Fourth I'm making a Red Velvet Flag Cake. You know the kind, 9x13 white icing/whipped cream w/strawberries and blueberries used to make a replica of the flag. Apparently it's done with a white or yellow cake, but screw that, I up for a challenge. Red Velvet it will be.

Anybody familiar with Steel Magnolias?
solisis:
I think you should put some pics up. I like the 2 i have. very cuuute! you two look lovely.
it's pretty much a lack of faith in society that builds my bastion. I like the people I know, but i don't like to go out because I think the populace is a waste. not only that, but my so called generation is one of adolescence, as of yet, and as a result- the likelyhood of one of sentience crossing paths with myself is little or none. perhaps if I did drugs and got drunk every night whilst persuing a lifestyle destined for the gutter, I could actually enjoy the company of people my age...
I think I'll stick to routine.
the age thing doesn't apply to everyone, as i mentioned there are exceptions. like everyone I've met on SG.
kisses to you, darling. you are one to flaunt.

madI had a rough time sleeping last night. Far to much stress for one woman to take on in a day... What's stressing me? Money. My business' money. I'm going out on my own to make my way in this world, to blaze a new trail of sorts. I've boned up on business-y info and written a business plan, spoken to...

ooh, the jitters! once upon a moon I felt some sort of internal distress over romance. I fought it and burnt in the process. Now, I remain the horrid, disfigured monster before you... all in the name of what once was love. provided there is such a thing.
Kudos to you, darling. may this encounter be one for the records.
Lovely speaking to you. we should converse more often.
