So, here I am updating my journal. What to write about...
I stood up to my business partner shortly after I returned to PDX. I told him I wasn't the only person involved in getting this venture off the ground, so he better start looking for money as well. Funny thing about start-ups, until you get the financing needed EVERYTHING is an uphill battle...
Anyway, continuing, I also said he needed to adjust his attitude about the business - as he was acting like a 16 year old and he's 56. Then I had to straighten him out on a few points he was trying to blame me for - which of course were regarding personal choices in his life of which I am not responsible. Sigh... Sometimes I wonder if it's the age difference or the gender difference that causes me more trouble.
On to happier things.
Miss Tallahassee is currently at a Biophysics conference where she is a superstar. So far she's been offer Post Doc positions at Yale, Harvard, and Berkley. She is presenting the poster of her PhD thesis today. I've been calling her every morning at 5am to wake her. She doesn't have a travel alarm clock. No big deal, I like being able to speak to her first thing in the morning.
So, what do YOU do first thing in the morning?

My arrival date ought to be sometime around the 20th of July. I leave here (driving) on the 17th, and I'm not sure how leisurely a pace I'm setting. I'm sure once I move in and set up computer and internet, I'll post straightaway.
