I've been going out a lot lately in an attempt to become a more social person. Okay, that's a lie, partially, it's just an attempt for me to get laid somewhere other than a sex club.
However, my attempts have been somewhat thwarted by the fact that I can't stand dyke bars (bad thing, as I really prefer women) and so I spend a lot of time hanging out with gay men or at straight dives. But I digress ... my point is really that last night was the first night in an age that I went straight home from work and got to bed before midnight. And yet, despite a good-night's sleep, I woke up cranky as fuck.
Now, mind you, I am not usually the "rah rah go team" type, but working in non-profit gets you so disgruntled that I feel compelled to make work fun -- not just for me, but for the morale of my co-workers. So, today I come in grumpy and un-hungover (actually, I've been drinking so much lately that combined with the lack of sleep, I've actually woken up still drunk and reported to work as such), and it's like a national tragedy. My boss is overly concerned and worried just because I am not Miss Marysunshine. Well, fuck you.
I need a goddamn drink.
