It's two fucking thirty in the morning.
I know it sounds crabby, but it's only because I'm pushing the gates of delerium. I have a night off of the baby, and I don't have anything in particular to get up for tomorrow, so I'm fucking around late tonight.
I have been making the most of it too!! I went to see some live jazz at Clancy's here in Glendale, where I had some soup and salad, followed by capucchino and an obscene tab. It was really cool. I sat there with my journal and wrote through my late-night snack. Very cool.
In other news, I got my huge tax refund back today by direct deposit. I'm tellin you kids, if you want to soak up the government cheese, then all you have to do is go to college and have a child. Those two things will make you rich after April 15. I'm doing the smart thing and putting a big chunk in the bank, but I pray to God I don't spend it any time soon It's there for emergencies, or for doing something special in the future. I also landed a Visa Platinum a few weeks ago, and did balance transfers to save interest and make payments easier.
All this new financial stuff is forcing me to be responsible now, so I've been spending most of the evening watching late night junk TV (which is surprisingly a lot like daytime junk TV) and planning a budget!! If I have any hopes of living well through the next few months or years, then I'd better fucking stick to it!
Tomorrow I'm going to see PRIMUS!!!! YEA!!! I'll give my full report sometime afterwards, when I feel like it. I decided to do like I did with 311 and I'm taking the baby-mama. We haven't hung out in a while, and nobody emailed me outright for the extra ticket. Ah well, I'm still gonna have a great time!!
