Oh, so that's why I can't sleep!

Last night, the girlfriend came to stay over (yes, it's still going on...) and something came to me. She slept better on my couch than in my bed.

I have this futon on a foldable wooden frame with a very firm mattress pad.... very firm. When I go stay at her place, she has this big cushy bed with lots of pillows and comforters. It's quite cozy. It would be really nice to have a squishy cozy bed like that here.

And another thing concerning a girl's house

Aside from the unkempt corners (such as the kitchen or office - just like my house), she has so many little creature comforts in every nook and cranny that make a body feel comfortable.

For example: in my shower, I have this bulk grade shampoo and economy size body soap. I stopped by her house to take a shower the other day and noticed that her body soap was this non-descript bottle that looked like lotion, and the label was all in French. She also had this thick cushy washcloth and towel to match. I came out of the shower and cried out "I love being a girl!"

Anyway...

There's a new Indian market that just opened up around the corner from my apartment. I'm so happy!! I can have all the great goodies I want within walking distance. I stopped in their Grand Opening yesterday, and they were serving free food for the afternoon. They had delicious stuff there to eat and a great DJ spinning Indian music. People were chanting hare krsna and playing instruments in another area. They had great produce for sale. I was ecstatic! I bought some pre-fab boil-in-bag food and some naan.

hmm... I think it's time for some alook paneer with some basmati rice...
