Work. Drink. Sleep.
That's my life, in a nutshell. I've been stretched pretty thin with the job duties lately, and by the time I get home at night, I don't have the energy to do anything besides make myself a drink and stretch out on the couch, where I usually wind up falling asleep. Then I wake up a few hours later, confused and disoriented, before stumbling off to bed. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Of course, there are exceptions to that rule. I attended the World Premiere of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," which was a lot of fun. Got some great pics, which are posted on MySpace and Facebook, and enjoyed seeing the movie with a crowd full of fans. I know the flick has been getting some pretty rough reviews, but I enjoyed it for what it was. And besides, thanks to the success of this film we're getting a Deadpool spinoff - kinda hard to complain about that.
I managed to lose my debit card about a week ago, which has led to a tremendous amount of frustration and inconvenience. I've got a replacement now, but the past week has been an enormous pain in the ass trying to get everything straightened out with the bank and the credit bureaus. I don't particularly recommend allowing this to happen to you.
After much coaxing from Drusylla and Dejah, I ventured out of the house last night for the SG party in downtown Phoenix. Totally glad they talked me into it, because it was a blast. Got to hang out with a lot of folks that I hadnt seen in several months, and made a few new friends as well. All in all, it was a great time, and the most fun Ive had in awhile. Pics up soon.
Driving home, I kinda felt bad for neglecting my SG friends for so long. Im gonna make a conscious effort to hang out with everyone more often, whether it means attending more of the events or just meeting up with some folks for a couple of drinks every now and then.
Speaking of SG folk, Im supposed to hang out with _Sylar_ tonight. Something about a local music show where all of the bands are playing drunk. Should be an interesting spectacle.
Working tomorrow for Mothers Day. Really wish I could have afforded a plane ticket to go back and visit Mom. I know she gets lonely now that shes at home all the time. Hopefully I can make it back there sometime over the summer.
