Thus far, my vacation has been rather uneventful, which is exactly what I was hoping for.

Monday I slept late, watched both "Narnia" movies, and went to the gym. Two miles on the treadmill, then lifting for about 45 minutes. After stopping for a haircut, then getting home and grabbing a shower, I retired to the couch and did my weekly TV recap (Californication, Dexter, and Heroes). The latter two are driving me batshit insane with the cliffhanger endings.

Tuesday morning was another trip to the gym, despite my body's protests, and a repeat of the same routine. I spent the afternoon finishing up "Call of Duty: World at War," which turned out to be a much more frustrating experience than I had anticipated. I also logged a little bit of time with the new "Prince of Persia," which boasts one of the most impressive art designs I've ever seen in a game.

Last night was our typical Tuesday ritual at Native New Yorker, although Dave didn't attend. Kate and I had a couple of drinks and a lot of wings, and then I came home and returned to the couch to watch "The Transporter," which might as well have been titled "Jason Statham is a Complete Badass." When I'm in the right mindset, I love ridiculous over-the-top action movies, regardless of how implausible they seem.

Today I've gotta make a trip into Mesa to drop some stuff at my store. Dave and I might go into Scottsdale to see something at the indie theatre - right now it's a toss-up between "Milk" and "Synecdoche, NY," both of which look like they're going to be fantastic. I'm planning to sit down and do some writing tonight, and I haven't decided yet if I'm going to the gym today, or if I'm going to take a day off and let my body rest a bit.

Wow. This was an incredibly boring entry, wasn't it?
