After a long night spent tooling around the internet and compiling material for a new in-store trailer disc, you would think i would be trying to sleep in. That was the plan, in fact, but after getting up to go to the goddamned bathroom about seventy times, i decided that my bladder wasn't going to allow me to sleep anymore, and deemed the whole endeavor completely pointless.
There are two movies opening up this weekend that i want to see. Alas, it doesn't look like i'm going to get an opportunity to check out either one. I'm closing tonight and tomorrow, so unless i drag myself out for an early-morning matinee, i fear that hope is lost. I miss the days of going out early on a Sunday morning, paying for the first show, and then spending the remainder of the day jumping from auditorium to auditorium, escaping the watchful eye of the theatre staff and seeing three or four flicks for the price of one.
Granted, i could still do that, but it would require me to actually have a Sunday off, a feat that is not likely to happen anytime in the foreseeable future. I've only had two days off in the past month, and one of those was only because someone died. It's as they say - no rest for the wicked. Or is it the weary? Fuck it - i'm wicked AND weary and i want my goddamned rest. And my movie days.

I would really like to be at home playing "Shadowrun" right now. What i assumed would me an enjoyable-but-mediocre FPS turned out to be an incredibly deep, wildly addicting strategic action game. There are so many variables in play that you never get anything close to the same game twice. Hopefully a few of the folks i regularly game with pick up copies of their own so we can get a team together - there are few things that annoy me more than being randomly paired up with obnoxious little 12-year-old douchebags whose vocabularies consist solely of "noob" and "owned" and "fuck."
Aaron and i have been discussing the possibility of taking the basic framework of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and adapting it into a mob movie. We'll get into that later.
It's a little after 9:00, and there are blueberry muffins in the kitchen. I think i need to eat one, and maybe watch "The Messengers" before i scamper off to work.
