Today I worked under people that likely didn't even graduate high school.

Today I stuffed envelopes. Envelopes full of non-recyclable paper. (yes, some papers, those in neon colors, are non-recyclable).

I can think of about 3 other jobs that would be more humiliating:
working at an oil refinery,
working at a garment factory,
working at a slaughterhouse.

This is what $70,000 of debt gets me. A one-day mail stuffing job. A job we'd expect robots to be able to do by now, but robots can't open envelopes any more quickly than a human can. Shame. A job that really nobody should have to do. A job with no tangible connection to human survival (as opposed to farming or construction).

I wish I could go into non-existence mode. That would make these money things a bit easier.

I'll just continue to tell myself that the future will work itself out, and one day we'll not be stuck in this cycle of ignoring our mind and abusing our body to pay bills that essentially do very little to help us feel human. (though prehaps post-human).

I didn't graduate from high school, and I'm fairly certain than I'm smarter than most of the MBAs that I work with. It's all relative.

I thought the administrative secretary in the art department might interest you. I seem to remember you saying you were looking for office work. There are other job openings on there as well. I really enjoy working at LC, as far as office jobs go.
