I was awoken at 8:30 by Dan for putting my own name on my rent check to him, and couldn't get back to sleep, so I got to work.
I've spent the morning reading every PDF predicting the future that I can find on the web.
They all have two things in common:
1. They are so fucking off it's not funny.
2. They are written by dirty old men like Ray Kurzweil, except British.
The Society of Professional Futurists is male-dominated, as is every other Futurist organization. In every white paper discussing how things will be is an undercurrent of misogyny and sexual desperation.
I will make the world a better place by becoming a futurist. Then I will get a sex change. Just kidding. Well, not entirely.
The field of Futures Studies is dead because its practicing Members don't know how to think outside their own selfish desires for material abundance and orgasms by email. Like any bad ape they eat the pith of the banana tree because they can't figure out how to peel the bananas.
It is my goal to become the first forward-thinking futurist. I must obtain the MS in Futures Studies first, as to have a complete understanding of the system I plan to restructure.
