Why is it that Armageddonists don't just take their own lives? If they are so convinced we are witnessing the End Times ,that we are responsible, and that there's nothing we can do about it- why stick around to watch it?
Just get rid of yourself, already.

Well, I just have a habit of not trying. Oh well.

As you say. I wish you well, whatever.
I choose flight.
Why fight for something you don't believe in?
When you run away, you see your enemies in a softer light- their faces are blurred and they are a bad shot.
I may still take one through the heart, but at least it will be with my back turned.

this makes me sad.
I'm in limbo.
I hate limbo.
I've got cuts on my hands that have stayed open for three days.
What is that called when your blood doesn't clot?
Christmas will be spent the same way today is being spent-
by myself, in an abandoned apartment building, looking for something to make the day go by so I can sleep again.

Dude, where did you get that robot wind chime?
My reality-based community beat up my faith-based community today.
I had taken on faith the ability to pay January's rent with my credit card (as I had been told as much) and had assumed that since the energy bill hadn't come for 3 months, that it wouldn't show up before I left.
Well. It came. It came with the thunder.
And that credit card payment...

your first sentence reminds me of a bumper sticker i saw not long ago.
"my karma ran over my dogma."

So a friend of mine (ex-girlfriend) had a group of her friends in Los Angeles listen to my Christmas tunes.
Unfortunately, their responses were on the Internet, where I could see them.
They are thought my stuff was awful, and not in the enjoyable way. These were, however, goths, and as I learned in my time in Los Angeles, goths have no sense of humor....

I definitely like "The Rose" better.

I just ate some stale Newman-Os. Does that count?
Also: I just put on some Britney Spears. That seems to help.

I've uploaded 3 new Christmas songs to
http://www.ic-musicmedia.com/david_lucas
It's the first time I've tried singing with an orchestral background.
Don't think I care for it much.
Still more at home with the piano, which I used for O Holy Night.

Unfortunately, have no fancy wireless contraptions. I still have to stab myself twice daily. I thought you were DoctorSatan. You're the least helpful doctor ever.

Well, then, DoctorSatan sucks.
Ok ok. What the hell.
I've already written 11 pieces for my "Winter" soundtrack. (a movie I've not made)
and I have a month of absolutely nothing to do and no one to see.
Thus, I shall start of the script of this movie.
It's been a few years since I've done playwriting. This will be a bit longer.

Nailing down the soundtrack is probably the hard part...now you just fill in the blanks ...right?
I need new eyes.
Eyes that were designed to stare at a computer screen all day long.
A new brain might be nice too.
A brain that doesn't need human interaction to keep it from killing itself.
While we're at it, how about a new digestive system? Or maybe no digestive system at all? I know it will be possible.
I want a new fuel....

I sometimes feel the same way about zoos, but the zoo in Boston tries pretty hard to give the animals a naturalistic habitat. And I think that, in sociological terms, the point is to expose you to animals you never would have otherwise seen to give you a greater understanding and, hopefully, respect for your fellow creatures.
david really does not enjoy antibiotics.
he really wishes he had someone to hold his head right now.
david has a severe aversion to vomit.
think of how all the chicken, pigs and cows must feel, having this stuff put into them all the time. it's horrible.

Well, I doubt sympathy will help, much, but if it does, you've got it.

I hope you're feeling better.
Gout: No it's not pleasant. This time I caught it early, got some medication. But it's not (so far as I know) particularly found in the less-developed world; it's a purine-metabolism thing, which in this case seems to be related to eating too many lentils. I suppose that it's probably relatively common where pulses are a major diet element.
