Well, its been a while since my last journal entry mainly because my days were so uneventful that I couldn't really be bothered, we'll I guess I should be grateful for some excitement but it really could of come in a less bone breaking manner 
(find a abandoned puppy, see a good show) but I guess the 87 year old in a Buick running me over at Glendale Ave and 57th is different from a my standard schedule.
Anyway, 4 breaks to my tibia including one that came out the back of my calf and ripped open/shattered ankle. I'm 2 days out of the hospital (btw gotta give some high fives to the EMS guys who got there damn fast and did a amazing job) with a full steel rod down my tibia and some plates/screws in the ankle, my beautiful bike is scrap metal
and I've been told it could be up to 4-5 months before I can walk again, but I gotta tell you 1.) helmets really really work, my brains would be covering about 30 feet of road with out my Shoei and 2.) I'm going to have some sweet scars once this is over 
Anyway, even though I've always said American is much to litigious a society, I've been screwed and screwed hard, this means I must drop out of school, I can't do my job, and with no other transportation (sold my little tin can just to get down here) I need to move back to Rochester MN to recover and for therapy, so I've gotten a lawyer and I'm going to make damn sure that everything I've worked for up until now isn't meaningless.
P.S. Oxy isn't half as cool as I would have imagined

You should get the X-ray of your leg put on a t-shirt...
I hope you're feeling better & healing well. Also I hope your lawyer is vicious & tenacious (until it comes to collecting his fee...)
