one of the longest days ever... Hedy got through 13 hours of surgery tonight. she's got a new titanium tibia component for her knee and they took out a bunch of scar tissue, plus a lot of other stuff. she had at least two anaesthesiologists, three osteo surgeons, three plastic surgeons and three prosthetic company folks all doing stuff for her - and her physical therapist watched over the whole thing to make sure she knows how to provide Hedy with the right stuff. pretty extraordinary times for the lot of us. i left a little before she came out of the OR, after a stay of eleven hours.
