i am soaked in JET-Rock'n'Roll power!
thursday night, i assembled a group to see Joan Jett and the Blackhearts play at LoneStar Park in grand prarie. we were there early and were the first in line, once the gates opened we made a mad dash to front and center and i latched onto the barricade with everything i had.
as the sun began to set the first band opened up the show, the marvelous Eyeliners were great, even though the sound guy had the mics turned down. in terms of singy girl band punk The Eyeliners rank in at AWESOME. also on the bill were the Spin Doctors. after being gone since the early nineties they're putting out a new album later this year. amidst the sea of people during the set two drunk girls shoved their way to the front and flashed the band. i know it a concert but who the hell falshes the spin doctors? me and the people around me stood confused for a good ten seconds.
once the spin doctors were done flapping around the stage fucked off and the Blackhearts' setup was brought out nice and close to the front. my head was square on with Joan's amp. the rest of the show was a blur, i was singing along and howling like a wolf. after the chaos cleared stephen handed me one of Joan's sharkfin guitar picks. i squealed and fell over. teh pick now hangs proudly from my neck. the Joan Jett and the Blackhearts button i made, my leather jacket, and the pick are thoroughly infused with JETT-Rock'n'Roll POWER!!!!!
now i need to build a case like Seiji's to properly channel power from the gods of Rock'n'Roll into my jacket and guitar. i'm working on the plans now and expect to have it built by the time i get my new black SG out of layaway. anyone got the hookup on plateglass? the stuff's expensive and i'll build the damn case out of plexiglass and aluminum if i have to.
note: my friend's list will never go over ten. ever.

hahahah... I can't believe those guys are still flapping around at all.
SG's rule. I have a Gibson from the late 70's that I got at the Dallas Guitar Show before it became an over-priced scam.
