You know what pisses me off about the word fine? When people say fine, they never fucking mean it.

How's your day?
Fine

I'm sorry.
It's fine.

How's things with so and so?
Fine.

All key examples of people inserting fine instead of telling the truth. I think quite possibly the only instances the word "fine" is used, is when things are in fact, not fine.

Fuck you fine. Go have a fine fucking day, and fuck yourself finely, then call me and tell me about how fine it all was.

"Fine" seems to be shorthand for either "I don't want to talk about it" or "I want you to know that I actually do want to talk about it, but won't come right out with it."

Figuring out which is which usually is the part where I get in trouble.
