well, I will no longer be working with phil flash. he has sent me a termination notice, (without warning or notice beforehand that there was ever any problem at all) claiming that I have breached my contract.
His reasons given:
I do not post on nnboards.com or do my journals as I should. (which is lies, and i have documentation to prove otherwise)
the real reason he's firing me: since the beginning, my sister and I have gotten the shittiest deal you can imagine, I recently told him that I want a copy of my contract to revise before signing with him for the next year. He won't like the contract I make up, because I will change the percentage, and some of the rules. I also think what started this is that we noticed he was linking our banners to his other girl's sites which he gets a larger % of. (more $ for him, while we get screwed.) Anyway, I have an attorney, and won't let myself be walked all over.
so- it's more worth it to him, to fire us "with cause" (which is lies, and i'll prove that) and try to take the last 2 months of sales on our site to himself. (which, had we truly fucked up, he'd be entitled to)
What's next for me? I'm not quite sure yet...My soul will not let me be happy until I am where I want to be, doing what I want to do, which is acting. I was not born in NY or CA. nor to a privilidged family who could pay for me to do what I want to do. So my journey "making it in the industry" is long, and I must take the good with the bad.
Modeling is just one way to "break into the industry/get your name out there" am I more well known from my site? yes. Did I make some money off of it? yes. did I get screwed in the end by a stupid asshole? yes. There is my first true life "hard lesson" in the industry. Be careful who you trust, never sign a one sided contract.
I am thankful for those who have supported me, and continue to support me....and I say fuck off to anyone who doubts me. I always have and always will give 200% in everything that I do. And I always will make the effort for anything I do to be better than the last thing I have done.
