Spent some time by the lakes on campus with a couple of friends discussing philosophy and planning my birthday. There's a theme of "stuff you liked as a kid" because everyone keeps moaning about how old they are. I'll be twenty, sod that, I'm not old! I can still dress up like a cartoon character if I like. So yeah, I'll be cobbling together an eighties Rogue costume (couldn't get enough of her back in the day, still can't) and my very good friend is coming as a Lady Gambit which will be all kinds of wicked.
Talking of oldness, voted for the first time today. Weird how so such a small thing has such massive consequences. It seems as if the BNP have had this massive surge in activity recently and the thought of them in any kind of power terrifies me. Oh god.
Tomorrow some of us are going to a karaoke club party. Singstar and dodgy tunes. Oooh yeah!

I'm really hoping things work out as well. It's felt like something has been missing from my life ever since I had to stop playing ball, and I'm so excited to be able to have another shot at trying to make things happen in that regard. Even if nothing comes from it, at least I gave it a shot
