Okay, Ive been avoiding updating this because Ive been all angsty and frustrated lately.
Last night in class my teacher told us about how she was sexually harassed that morning on the way to get coffee. When she didnt respond to their slurping noises they all started calling her a bitch. Well, class ended a little after 9:00pm. While I was on my way home this white suv full of guys drive by and yell stuff at me. I cant really hear what theyre saying over the shit music they are blasting so I just keep walking. As I cut through the parking lot behind my building the suv pulls in. So now Im cornered in a dark parking lot. Again, they start yelling stuff at me. When I dont respond someone yells Youre supposed to say hi bitch! and they all start calling me a bitch and drive off.
The sad thing is, this isnt even a big deal. It happens all the time. Ive had far more disgusting and offensive things yelled at me out car windows. Summer hasnt even started yet. Its only going to get worse. Why do guys do this? Do they think its flattering? Do they not realize that if anything it is degrading, insulting and even threatening?
