Oh dear...hope you are feeling better now (hugs to you), and have had a good xmas...how is your brother?

i'm back in sf. i didn't get to see as many people as i wanted so that kind of sucked but my boyfriend got to go with me and meat my family so that was cool. at least i got to spend some time with my dad and my brother, who is doing well by the way. my kitty got to come back with me! there will be pics of us rekindling our love later.... like, when he stops being pissed off at me for making him go on a plane.

Hope things are getting better for your brother, and for the family...my one trip to the states started in Muskogee and ended in Oklahoma City - via 12 states I think! The family I stayed with took me across country to DC and back...best three weeks of my life! Hope your holiday is a good one...

I've worked in mental health care since I left college so feel my small amount of insight might hopefully bring you some comfort...there are many kinds of mental illness, and many causes. There are many ways to help and manage them too - medication, counselling etc. There are short periods of illness, and long periods...but there is always hope, and always help available. With luck, your brother will have suffered an episode which can be managed quickly and effectively if they can try and identify a cause...I'm sure he'll be fine, and love from his family and his sis will be a big help So try to be positive, and stay strong for him xx
