Dude, that is seriously the most awesome Barbie ever.

And I had the Totally Hair Barbie. But I cut off most of her hair and used the gel on myself. Guess that was good foreshadowing of my career haha.
cyberiouse:
TOTALLY WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

I gotta full on admit that is AWESOME!!!! I hope my daughter is like that and knowing her mom she will be lol

Feeling guilty is all apart of being a mother.

WONDERFUL!! I am so happy for you!
After moving back to a red state (but living in a blue county - does that count?), I realize that I made the wrong move, and can't wait to leave. So enjoy it and go make the best for yourself and Hendrix! kiss
wsoxfan:
Great news. If anyone belongs in a blue state, it's you.

I love your work. It is fantastic. Do you sell prints?
wsoxfan:
Hendrix is so cute.

I finally saw Milk. It was excellent. I remember that era very well. The mid to late 70's were the years during which I got married and my two daughters were born.

I vividly remember Anita Bryant. I remember wondering how someone so attractive on the outside could be so ugly on the inside. Sean Penn's performance was amazing. He WAS Harvey Milk. I remember the "Twinkie Defense" too. What an outrage that a jury would even consider that, let alone buy into it.

I don't know if you're aware, but there was an ironic bit of casting in the movie. Denis O'Hare, the actor who played the notorious John Briggs is openly Gay. Yet he played person who was in the forefront of championing Prop 6.

You're quite enterprising. I hope you make it to the art show. Too bad it's not in New York, so I could see it. Maybe someday, you'll make it over here. I'd love to meet you.

The webcam isn't a substitute for being there, but is the next best thing since I can't afford to get down to North Carolina these days.

_felix_:
well unfortunately, academy awards are not actually won on merit...they are campaigned for. every year even the worst movies send out packages marked "for your consideration" to the members of the academy, from there on out it's a political gig of who shows up to what parties to campaign for their Oscar. I think that's why Sean said: "believe me I know how hard i make it for you to appreciate me" which roughly translates to: "I'm not an ass kisser so I'm surprised I won."

and ya wanna know how the Oscars all got started int he first place? it was a Public Relations move..there was a huge drop in theater attendance so they decided to have an awards show to get people intersted in going to the movies again. it worked and we still have the academy awards today. So you are more than correct when you call it a circle jerk. it really is.

hee hee. wink

adria:
Wow that's a beautiful picture!!! May I save it as fan art? I really love it.

What would you do if you met one of those "Jews for Jesus" people? I ran into one about 10 days ago. I finally had to be rude and tell her to leave me alone. That was the only way I could stop her from going on and on with her pitch.
brooklynbabe:
kiss

I definitely need a portrait of me!!! It will do my self-esteem much good. Let me know how much it will cost, either I'll make a payment plan with you or just buy it outright. biggrin
