i always admire your art! if i can scrounge up some cash, i think i'd like to get one of your pieces are you open to painting by request, or do you just work off your inspiration? i wish i had that kind of talent; to just paint what you feel or what you see in your head. amazing. at best i can make a mean tie dye or knit a cool hat or blanket. sewing cloth diapers is my new passion. i guess i'm more of a textile artsit, lol.
look at your little man being worn by his mama he's grown, mir, isn't the development awesome??!!
yeah, being in the birth business is quite neat, but i think it's good that you want to wait to be a doula; hendrix needs you and you need him for a while longer (a bit of a while ). b/c vash is almost 9 months, i can be away here and there, i can pump my milk and she will eat a few solids (we're self-feeding) if i have to be away from her at a birth. i also have a unique childcare situation, and am allowed to bring vashti to some of the prenatal appointments i attend. if it weren't for that, i'd probably wait until she weaned, but it's all good for now. also, i think that with you being a doula you will find that you will have to be at a birth longer than any other support person (barring the woman's partner). however, it is possible that if you are with a woman in a long early labor, you could get whoever is caring for hendrix to bring him to you for a nursing every few hours until the active labor gets going. i actually plan on doing that with vash if i am at a labor that is long; that or i'll bring my pump with me, ha ha.
