Hendrix is sleeping in his daddy's lap so i thought i'd take the time to show some pictures and say some things.
1. if you're in the Oklahoma city area and you need a midwife, Leanna Harkess at OU is sooooo wonderful. I've had a bit of trouble finding the right midwife/doctor here... most of them look at me as some young girl who got knocked up and is like "dur...i'ma have a baby what do i do?" :F But she was so respectful and nice to me. She really cared about me and my family.
2.If you're pregnant and are worried about the pain of birth i highly recommend a hypnotherapist. I felt each contraction as pressure and tingling. No pain! Now...the car ride on the way to the hospital with my mother's driving and no hypnosis yet was another story. haha.... THAT was the only part that hurt. So i was able to see the difference between contractions....and contractions under hypnosis. Pushing wasn't painful either but wow, what an intense feeling. It took every ounce of strength i had and i was squeezing my doula's hand and...eh.. someone else's i'm not sure who but i'm sure it was more painful for them than it was for me. haha. I think it's sad that TV and movies have portrayed birth to be such a scary painful experience.... almost like a burden. It really doesn't have to be. I even tore a little bit and didn't even feel it.
3. The EC (elimination communication) is going very well. I was worried i wouldn't understand his cues since i've never seen a newborn before but i guess it's just instinct. I knew right away when he was trying to crap. I hope it continues smoothly. My baby is 5 days old and has never felt a dirty diaper! Yay!
4. My milk came in and my tits are like the size of meteors.

He's really gorgeous.
And seriously, well done on the EC. My girl is 7 months and I'm wondering if it's too late to start. You should be very proud of yourself for the efforts you've made.
