I can't sleep, so here's an update on all the awesome bands that i've seen lately:

At one event I saw NOFX, Protest the Hero, Against me, Cancer Bats (woohoo!) and a bunch of local bands.

The week before The Matadors (a psychobilly band) played a freakin awesome stage show.

These were a few months ago, but still worth a mention; Goat horn (old skool metal), The Gorgeous and I Hate Sally.

And coming soon... Dropkick Murphys and Metric

Anyone else seen any good bands recently?

Hey, thanks very much for the Black Metal recommendations. I've heard of most of them, but I haven't actually listened to very much of the music so far. You've given me a great list to sink my teeth into. I finally got around to ordering Venom's Black Metal today, so I should get it later in the week. I also ordered Bathory's Under the Sign.
