Oh, we married in a courthouse, just the two of us. We were going to keep it a secret until the wedding because we wanted to make sure that people would still take the wedding seriously, but then we decided to push the wedding back a year (because of money, of course). And there was no way we were going to hold onto a secret like that for almost two years!
And actually, it turns out it's becoming more and more common for people to get legally married first and then have the wedding later. A lot of it is for practical reasons, and ours was too: we were committed to each other already, but he needed health insurance. So we took care of the legal aspect, now he's covered by my policy, and so now if he badly breaks his leg before the wedding, we won't be bankrupted.
I would say go for it, personally. If it's something that the two of you want to do, then do it. From my experience so far, people are pretty understanding about this sort of thing.
You definitely want health insurance. I badly broke my wrist a few years ago (I totally shattered it!) while I was uninsured and got slammed with $25,000 in hospital bills for surgeries and physical therapy. You just never know what might happen, and any accident or illness that happens before the wedding could mean that you guys would be starting your new lives together in serious debt.
I had to de-stress so I went to the beach and saw two different weddings going on. Why do people have to be so fancy? Geez. The weather today was perfect, though the ocean was a tad cold but it managed to clear my head so I don't mind.

Before people start wondering if Paul and I split no we are fine. I just broke up with my bestfriend since highschool. I couldn't handle the drama that she pulled me into and this myspace message from her mom sealed the deal:
After 5 years of not having anything in my eyebrow I managed to get an 18g barbell through it so I'm happy. Work has gone well, hopefully I closed the store correctly. I got really nervous but I think I did okay. Paul comes home in a little over a week! I'm so happy!
We're basically staying in all weekend. I might go out to get some things from town today but Q will have to stay here. He's still throwing up occasionally and can't deal with a lot of motion.
This is the most played song (currently) in my car. Everyday since I got in shipped to me I've played the cd at least 1 time on the way to work. I'm going to try to drop some hints for Hot Topic to start carrying it, but I have to "see if there's a market"
