Drill wasn't half bad , it was low key as there was massive planning session going on for the upcoming winter season. It appears like 2011 is going to be a great but busy year, January I'm up for a promotion and as of tonight I have everything completed for it.
I've stumbled into a few things that I know when I can pull them off, I'll be a god among men, so to speak anyway...
I've impressed my 1SG, with the expectation of his soft spoken nature I can learn a lot from his 20+ years with the Virginia National Guard,as it turns out he's an EMT-Firefighter with a company here in town that I had close ties to so we were bonding over that....it paid off so now he's going up to bat for me to teach my class, originally I was shot down but he's going to work it under his training schedule and just hang out in the back.
I'll write more later. I need coffee

Good stuff! My wife should be going to the board next month as well... Study hard!

yes, i never know why i cant remember "leadership development"...epic fail on my part. and good for you. promotions are always a most excellent thing and if the NG wants you to take a bunch of classes for it than its better to start them up asap. i'm going to be expecting you to be an E-3 by the time i'm done with my training.
