5-16-06 at 1:20 in the morning my uncle passed away with his wife and my mother by his side. Words can't express what I feel because I'm still in shock that I'll never see him again. He put up a hard 5 month fight with this cancer. I miss him dearly.
Tonight we went to his house to help look through pictures...it just felt like Pete was sleeping or something. But he's gone.

i'll be ok in time I think...

I decided to edit this just to keep me awake during the last part of my shift. Today I get to pick out clothes for friday and saturday... Reality is slowly setting in, the more tired I get. Yesterday once I got home I ended up having a Rum and Coke before I tried to fall asleep. I called the few friends that I wanted to talk to, wrote in my journal and fell into a restless sleep. Paul was my "first call" he heard me cry, I swear I think he got a little emotional too but who knows. I'm really worn out now, I just want to go home and sleep. However I'm "renting" my car out to one of Pete's brothers while he's in town. In fact my parents are renting out one of their cars to Pete's other brother. Pete has 3 brothers in total.
Mark (who looks exactly like Pete) Dale and Shawn. Mark and Dale told my mother a few days ago that I remind them of their late sister Katrina (She also passed away after a battle with cancer a few years ago I believe). I guess that made me feel special.
Linda wants us to enjoy Pete's life instead of mourn his passing.
The last thing I remember saying to Pete on Sunday (the last day I ever saw him) was "don't worry uncle Pete I won't get tattooed too much. I love you I'll see you later"
He hated the tattoos he had, but I loved the way they look...go figure the last thing I would ever say would be about tattoos.
