i’m here to tell you a chilling story. it’s a true crime that shocked Brazil. a love triangle turned into a cult ended up with three women dead.

Jorge, a phys-ed teacher. Isabel, a semi-illiterate house wife. Bruna, the younger second wife. the trio that formed “the Cartel”, a sect that aimed to purify the world and protect the Earth from overpopulation. the purification process involved killing four victims, one for each natural element, and to consume human flesh.
they met in Olinda, Pernambuco, where they made their first victim. the first kill took place in 2008, when they saw Jessica, 17, selling candy with her 1-year-old in her arms. she fitted perfectly the victim role for the goal of the sect. i’ll describe now what they did to her, and it’s a strong image. you’ve been warned, proceed at your own risk.
the Cartel lured her into their household with promise of a job. then they took hold of her daughter and refused to give her back. she got angry and they begin to fight. Jorge gave her a karate chop that startled her, while Bruna ran to get him a knife. he stabbed her jugular and she died quickly, as it was preached by the sect. they proceed to remove all her blood (it was impure) in the shower, dismember her and separate the disposable and the desirable parts, as the buttocks, legs and liver. the next day they seasoned the meat, grilled and ate it. they even gave Jessica’s daughter some. the rest was buried in the shape of a cross or tossed in the trash.
early 2012, the Cartel had moved to Garanhuns, in the same state. they abducted, killed and cooked two more women there. same rituals as before, except this time they also used some of the meat to stuff the pies they sold in the city. the city is still scarred and traumatized by this story, as no one really knows if they ate the pies with or without human flesh.
the trio got caught and tried to plead insanity but it got proven they were sane and they got convicted. in jail, the other inmates are afraid of them.
