This production was inspired by the Hellsing manga by author Kouta Hirano. Here my dears, some curiosities about the manga series:
• The pilot was a hentai
• Hellsing is inspired by the book/film: Dracula by Bram Stoker, some say it even looks like a continuation
• Some chapters of the manga make reference to games, like : Castlevania, Final Fantasy, Mighty and Magic, Warcraft, etc.
• There is a "joke" in the manga, at the end of each one, there is a page talking about each character that was "important" for the chapter, and whenever a character appears that has an object or something difficult or time consuming to draw, the author jokes that he "will die in the next chapter" (and he really does).
